Steam allows your pores to open, freeing the sebaceous ducts and hair follicles of impurities, allowing the beneficial properties of the herbs to penetrate. fennel seeds allow pores to open. In the normal/dry steam herbs, elder flower and chamomile soften and soothe the skin. Calendula is healing to skin, and rose petals act as a mild astringent, helping to restore pH without stripping vital moisture. In the normal/oily steam herbs, yarrow and rosemary are excellent astringents while peppermint and spearmint are cooling and refreshing as well as antiseptic. One pack is enough for two treatments.
